Engraved Picture Frames Make Great Gifts

Some of the best gifts I have ever seen are engraved picture frames.  I was at a wedding and someone got the bride and groom a frame with their names and wedding date engraved on it.  It was very beautiful, and something they could put their wedding photo in and enjoy for years to come.

If you go into any department store, like Kohl’s, then you will probably find engraved photo frames.  Usually these are kind of plain, with your standard black and brown.  Sometimes you will see a pewter or silver frame.  These stores also usually carry engraved picture frames.  They say things like “Friendship”, or “Sister”.  These are very touching and are perfect for gifts. Department stores obviously have to be sort of generic, as to fill many peoples’ needs.  However, if you want something custom, you can easily order online and get whatever you want.  You can specify frame size, color, engraving, type of hooks or hangers, and how many hooks.  State whether you are going to stand the frame up, or hang it from a wall, and which way is it going to hang.  Horizontal or vertical hanging will determine where the hangers are placed.  When you buy in a department store, you are at the mercy of the one size fits all business model.  You will have extra hangers and a stand all on one frame.  This makes things kind of bulky.

Ideas for engraved picture frames

Here are some great gift ideas and occasions where you can implement engraved picture frames:

For a baby shower, if you know the sex and name, get a white frame with blue or pink engraving showing the baby’s name.

For grandparents, a 5×7 glass frame with the baby’s name for their first photo.

For pet owners when they put their beloved pet down.  This is a very traumatic event for people. When someone reaches out
and sends a card or note, it is very much appreciated.  If you are close to them, get a frame with their pet’s name engraved
on it.  They will love it.

When a parent passes, a small frame with a design engraved is a good choice.  If your mother-in-law passes and she enjoyed

Or for a man, if he was a handy-man, perhaps some tools.  Or a car if he loved sports cars.

the whole thing; get your frame from a craft store, engrave and finish it.  If you have an idea for a large number of frames,
